Refuge Church will have a Christmas Eve Service at 5 p.m. on Monday evening at the San Miguel Community Center behind the Library in the park. Bring the family. For information, call 423-4719.

The Christmas Electric Lights Parade was a happy success, if a bit cold and damp. The chili was hot, the cupcakes were beautifully decorated and a large crowd cheered for the entries as they glowed and shimmered down Mission Street and back. You can find pictures and winners of the parade, the chili contest and the cupcake contest on

Certified results for the November elections have been released. Elected to the San Miguel Community Services District Board were John Green, Anthony Kalvans and Richard Harrison. Elected to the San Miguel School District Board were Steve Christian and Bandy J. Smith. Elected to the four seats on the Paso Robles High School Board (our high school district) were Joel Peterson, Joan Summers, David S. Lambert and Chris Bausch. Congratulations to all of them.
