Christmas church services planned in San Miguel

Special to The TribuneDecember 21, 2012

On Sunday, Lighthouse Community Church at 13th and L Streets will have their regular Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and the Sunday service at 10:30 a.m.

Refuge Church will have a Christmas Eve Service at 5 p.m. on Monday evening at the San Miguel Community Center behind the Library in the park. Bring the family. For information, call 423-4719.

Old Mission San Miguel Masses will be held on Christmas Eve at 5 p.m. in English, at 6 p.m. in Spanish and at 11 p.m. Midnight Mass will be in English. Christmas Day Masses are at 11 a.m. in English and at 6 p.m. in Spanish. For information call the parish office at 467-2131 during business hours.

The Christmas Electric Lights Parade was a happy success, if a bit cold and damp. The chili was hot, the cupcakes were beautifully decorated and a large crowd cheered for the entries as they glowed and shimmered down Mission Street and back. You can find pictures and winners of the parade, the chili contest and the cupcake contest on www.discoversanmiguel.com.

Certified results for the November elections have been released. Elected to the San Miguel Community Services District Board were John Green, Anthony Kalvans and Richard Harrison. Elected to the San Miguel School District Board were Steve Christian and Bandy J. Smith. Elected to the four seats on the Paso Robles High School Board (our high school district) were Joel Peterson, Joan Summers, David S. Lambert and Chris Bausch. Congratulations to all of them.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
