The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office is looking for an Atascadero man considered armed and dangerous after evading arrest by ramming his car into a sheriff's vehicle.

Marc Steele, 37, also has two outstanding warrants: a felony warrant for a felon in possession of a firearm and a $2,000 misdemeanor warrant for resisting arrest, according to sheriff's officials.

On Friday, deputies attempted to arrest Steele in the 9900 block of West Front Street in Atascadero, but he escaped after ramming a sheriff’s K-9 unit, officials said.

Steele was last seen driving a silver 1993 Lexus four-door sedan with the license plate 3CDL038. Steele is said to spend time in the North County and on the coast.

Anyone with information about Steele's whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 781-4550. A $1,000 reward is being offered through Crime Stoppers for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
