Toy drive hosted by County/Cal Fire

Published: December 14, 2012

The public is invited to join local firefighters at a holiday open house Saturday to help provide toys to children under the care of San Luis Obispo County Child Protective Services.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to bring a monetary donation or a new, unwrapped toy. Festivities are planned for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Morro-Toro Fire Station, 15325 Highway 41, Atascadero.

The open house is an effort in part by the County/Cal Fire Department Benevolent Association’s Operation Santa Claus toy drive. Nonperishable food items will also be accepted.

For more information, call the fire station at 466-5089.
