Bronco soccer season underway

Special to The CambrianDecember 13, 2012

The Coast Union boys varsity soccer squad has compiled a 4-4-1 record so far this early season. The four losses came against schools with student enrollment much bigger than Coast Union — Paso Robles (1-5), Atascadero (1-3), Ventura County Christian (0-5), and Ventura (0-5).

Meanwhile the Broncos defeated Cabrillo (3-2), Mission Prep (6-1), St. Joseph (3-0), and Liberty (4-1). Coast Union tied Monrovia (1-1) on the first of December.

The next home match for the Broncos is against Liberty on Saturday, Dec. 22.

The Lady Broncos varsity team — with one tie and three losses — won’t be playing in front of a home crowd until Jan. 10; Orcutt Academy will be at Coast Union for a 4 p.m. match. The team travels to McFarland on Dec. 14.
