A 25-year-old Nipomo man died after a three-car collision on Highway 101 north of Higuera Street on Tuesday evening.
Bryden Reid died at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, where he was taken after the 4:30 p.m. crash.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Cynthia Alvarez, 52, also of Nipomo, was driving south on 101 when she changed lanes. The left front of her vehicle hit the right rear of a Ford Ranger being driven by Reid.
The collision caused the Ranger to spin in a clockwise direction, and the drivers side struck the rear of a trailer driven by Wilber Saravia of Salinas, the CHP said.
The CHP did not say whether Alvarez faces charges or release any other information.
