The public is invited to view the student garden at Paso Robles Liberty High School on Saturday afternoon. An open house is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to show off students plant-growing projects, which include a rainwater catching system, greenhouse, plant nursery, native and drought-tolerant landscaping and a solar electric system.
Student artwork, plants and fruit trees grown by students will be on sale.
The event will be at the outdoor classroom behind the schools softball field at 800 Niblick Road.
The students are in the schools GreenWorks class, which runs the nursery in conjunction with the nonprofit One Cool Earth to help students learn job skills.
