A woofin' good time at Woods Humane Society's annual holiday open house

Woods Humane Society’s annual holiday open house featured pet (and human) portraits with Santa Claus, cat paw-print art, shelter gear and more.

The event, held this past weekend, showcased the facility and kicked off the holiday season, said Steve Kragenbrink, Woods’ community programs director. “The goal is to bring awareness of the shelter, involve the community and, hopefully, produce more adoptions,” Kragenbrink said. Eleven adoptions were completed that day, and four adoptions were promised for a later date.

The event brought in around $2,000, according to Kragenbrink. To find out more about Woods Humane Society, volunteering or to make a donation, visit http://www.woodshumane.org.
