Cuesta women's basketball team makes tourney final

Courtney Chadwick opened the game with three 3-point shots and had 20 points and four assists to lead the Cuesta College women’s basketball team to a 76-44 victory over Butte on Friday in the semifinals of the Conoco Phillips 66 Tournament.

Alyssa Palma had 14 points, four assists and three rebounds for the Cougars.

Cuesta will face Sierra College in the tournament final at 4 p.m. today.

This is the first time since 2001 that the Cougars will have a chance to win the tournament. The Cougars have not won the tournament since 1994.
