Original: The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian crash that killed a woman on Highway 1 Friday morning.

The collision happened at 6:21 a.m. on Highway 1 near Halcyon Road. The woman, who has not been identified, was fatally injured in the incident, officials said.

Halcyon Road was closed for a few hours while sheriff’s deputies and CHP officers investigated.

Sheriff’s spokesman Tony Cipolla said coroner’s detectives will conduct an autopsy and toxicology tests. They are still investigating the manner and cause of the death, he said.
