Want to see the presidential inauguration? Contact Rep. Capps for a ticket

Published: November 30, 2012

Central Coast congresswoman Lois Capps, D-Santa Barbara, has 198 tickets to President Obama’s inauguration Jan. 21 and is inviting the public to apply to receive one of them.

Capps conceded that she already has more than 198 requests, but wants “to accommodate as many of my constituents as possible. Seeing the inauguration of the president is a wonderful experience.”

Capps’s office said it would select the winners via a lottery. Each member of Congress receives the same number.

Capps said her office will take requests through Dec. 7. To apply, call her office at (202) 225-3601. To learn more about the presidential inauguration go to http://www.inaugural.senate.gov/.
