Sandbags offered to South County residents to help protect against storm

Sandbags are now available for South County residents for protection from the ongoing storm, according to a news release from the Five Cities Fire Authority.

Those living inside the city of Arroyo Grande can pick up sandbags at the city’s corporation yard at 1375 Ash St., while Grover Beach residents can pick them up at the city’s corporation yard at 1150 Farroll Road.

Those living in the Oceano Community Services District can pick up empty sandbags at the district office at 1655 Front St. and fill them with sand piled behind the sheriff’s substation on 13th Street.

Oceano residents who require assistance can call the district office at 481-6730.
