Jerry Brown has always been my favorite politician.
When he first entered the California governors race, he was pegged the son of a former governor (which he was), and a seminarian (which he also was), as well as an overeducated liberal. (Anybody who can openly court Linda Ronstadt while in office is OK in my book).
Well, this time around he managed to convince his constituents to raise their own taxes.
Now, he has appointed a retired general whose philosophy revolves around empowering others to do their jobs to head Californias scandal-ridden Parks and Recreation Department.
Governor Moonbeam, indeed!
