Renowned chef hired by Robin’s

Robin’s has announced the hiring of Michael Wood as the restaurant’s new executive chef. With almost two decades of experience, Wood has built a reputation on the Central Coast as a talented chef who is passionate about using local fresh ingredients. Previously Wood worked at Windows on the Water, Marisol at the Cliffs Resort, and Treebones Resort.

“Robin’s feels like home. There is tradition, recognition and loyalty here that is hard to find anywhere else,” said Wood.

Established in 1985 by Robin Covey and Shanny Covey, Robin’s has grown to become one of the Central Coast’s most recognized and successful restaurants. For the past few years Robin’s has been voted “Best Restaurant” in Cambria by New Times readers.

Shanny Covey is also the co-owner of the popular San Luis Obispo restaurant Luna Red. Both restaurants are known for using local ingredients and pairing global flavors with traditional classics.
