Mustangs sweep Anteaters in volleyball

Holly Franks had a match-high 12 kills for the Cal Poly volleyball team (4-25, 3-14 Big West) in a 25-15, 25-20, 25-18 win Friday over UC Irvine.

Nicole Kessler had 59 digs, and Maddie Kuber had 20 assists for the Mustangs, who broke a seven-match losing streak.

Shannon Fleming and Ella Rosenfeld had nine kills each and Kristin Winkler had 14 digs for UC Irvine (11-21, 5-12).

The Mustangs hit .271 as a team and limited UC Irvine to a .121 hitting percentage.
