Food Bank’s thanks

Executive director of the Food Bank Coalition of SLO County Paso RoblesNovember 19, 2012

The Food Bank Coalition wishes to thank Mr. B. Wayne Hughes Jr., who is matching dollar for dollar all donations to the KCOY-TV Hope for the Holidays Food Drive, up to $20,000. Hope for the Holidays kicked off Friday with the annual Turkey Drive held at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo and Albertsons in Paso Robles. It continues through Christmas.

We want to thank KCOY, Sierra Vista, Albertsons, The Tribune, and our other major sponsor, PG&E, for their incredible support, and we encourage readers to go to our website, slofoodbank.org  , to make a donation. Or, you can send a check to P.O. Box 2070, Paso Robles, CA 93447. Your gift will be doubled by Mr. Hughes’ match. A yield of $40,000 will allow us to provide $400,000 worth of food! San Luis Obispo county is incredibly supportive of its Food Bank’s efforts to build a healthier community, and to all of you we say thank you, and wish you a very happy holiday season!

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
