Stoking the Camp Fire

Camp Fire USA board memberNovember 19, 2012

On behalf of the board of directors and the children who participate in Camp Fire USA Central Coast Council clubs and camps, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to local businesses and individual community members for your continuing support of our annual Hollyberry Dinner, Reverse Drawing and Live and Silent Auction Fundraising Benefit held Nov. 3.

Your generous donations toward our silent and live auction provided a wonderfully successful fundraiser, and a fun time was had by all who attended.

This is our 77th year in San Luis Obispo County providing programming that instills confidence, self-esteem and leadership qualities in hundreds of our local young people. Club members have participated in community services projects such as the SLO Elks Veterans’ Celebration, Hospice Tree Lighting, Pismo Beach Police Department’s Thanksgiving Dinner, Salute to Vets, Special Olympics, Coastal Beach Cleanup, and the list goes on.

It is also our 71st year of offering the “sleeping under the stars” camp in the Adelaida Hills north of Paso Robles at Camp Natoma. None of our programming would be possible without the thoughtful continued support of our community members.
