Burn season near, with a permit

acornejo@thetribunenews.comNovember 19, 2012

Open burn season starts Monday and ends in April in San Luis Obispo County for residential yard trimming and other agricultural waste.

All burning requires a permit from the San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District. Backyard burning may be done only by occupants of single-family or duplex dwellings outside urban and village reserve lines in rural areas on designated days. Applications are at http://www.SLOCleanAir.org. The cost is $50.
