The Cuesta College men’s basketball team lost its second close game in as many days, falling 74-69 to College of the Sequoias in the third-place game of the San Diego City Tournament on Sunday.

Coach Rusty Blair said the Cougars were trailing by three points with four seconds to play but College of the Sequoias had the ball and Cuesta was forced to foul.

Cuesta lost 77-75 to San Diego on a buzzerbeater Saturday night.

Arne Ingebrigtsen scored 19 points, hitting 4 of 5 3-pointers, Oscar Pedroso had 13 points and a team-high six rebounds, and Kenny Robinson added 10 points for the Cougars (4-2).

Blair said the Cougars shot 12 of 35 from 3-point range in the loss, which was a rematch of the championship game of the Rabobank Tournament at Cuesta on Nov. 11, which the Cougars won 58-54.
