Mary Verdin, president and CEO of Verdin, a marketing firm in San Luis Obispo, was honored with a bronze award in the ninth annual Stevie competition for women in business.

The award was given last week at a ceremony in New York.

Verdin, nominated by her staff, was one of five women awarded a bronze Stevie in the category of companies having 10 or fewer employees.
