This year’s Toys for Tots fundraiser at the Chumash Casino will feature a night of Celtic Christmas music, the casino announced this week.

“Christmas With The Celts,” which was shown on over 200 PBS channels across the U.S. and Ireland in 2011, will take place at the Casino on Saturday, December 15. The show will feature traditional Gaelic instruments, including fiddles and bagpipes, and will be accompanied by Irish dancing.

The Celts band – formerly known as The Blair Band – consists of both Irish and Irish-American musicians who have toured the past 15 years. Their show will feature Scottish and Irish Christmas carols that go back as far as the 12th century, along with more common carols featuring a Celtic twist. The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians chose “Christmas With The Celts” as the act behind this year’s Toys of Tots drive, with all the proceeds from the show going to the charity.

The Central Coast Marine Corps Reserve campaign serves children in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.

Tickets for the show are $15, $25 and $35.
