Looking other way

Los OsosNovember 12, 2012

If pedophilia was a capital offense, the hierarchy of the Catholic Church would have been front and center in support of Proposition 34. When I went to a Catholic Church in Morro Bay to gather signatures to put Proposition 34 on the ballot, the priest sent me packing. He didn’t want controversy in his parish.

When the next opportunity to abolish the death penalty in California comes up, are the good ol’ boys at the top going to walk the talk or are they going to look the other way while nuns, Unitarians and atheists take a stand?
