Orchard Supply Hardware has been operating in Pismo Beach since 1994, but a multimillion-dollar renovation that offers an upgraded nursery, more selling space, new color scheme and improved signage will debut at 7 a.m. Saturday.
The first 200 customers to the store at Oak Park Boulevard and James Way will receive a $25 cash card, while the first 1,000 will receive an OSH bucket and other items.
The upgrading is part of Orchard Supplys effort to position itself between small, independently owned hardware stores and big box home-improvement stores, according to the company. By the end of this year, Orchard said it plans to have 12 of its 89 stores in California operating in this neighborhood-style format.
