A book-signing with author Mara Purl is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Linn's HomeStyle Gifts & Sale Loft, 4249 Bridge St.
The event — dubbed “Serendipi-Tea: Milford-Haven … Is It Cambria?” — will include tea, stories and updates about her Milford-Haven books. The latest, “When Whales Watch,” has just been released.
The series began with a serialized radio drama broadcast starting July 5, 1987, on KOTR-FM radio in Cambria. The soap opera was a runaway hit on BBC (which broadcast to 4.5 million listeners) and evolved into a series of books that are being revised by Purl and reissued by Bellekeep Books. The books have won 17 literary awards.
