SLO man allegedly stabs neighbor after argument

A San Luis Obispo resident was arrested early this morning on suspicion of stabbing his neighbor with a knife.

Officers responded at 1:53 a.m. to Madonna Road Apartments, 1564 Madonna Road, where suspect Milton Flores, a 30-year-old resident of San Luis Obispo, had just gotten in an argument with his neighbor, 27-year-old Jose Raul Garcia Jr.

At the end of the argument, police said, Flores assaulted Garcia with a knife.
Garcia’s mother, 45-year-old Maria Tafolla, attempted to intervene and was stabbed in the hand with the knife.

Tafolla received several stitches at a local hospital, and Flores and Garcia were not injured.

Flores was booked for assault with a deadly weapon at the San Luis Obispo County Jail, with bail set at $25,000.
