It is with great sorrow that we learned of the passing of Greg Hind. Greg was a humble man who gave generously to many worthy organizations in our county. He had an energy, charm, determination and love of life. His dedication to making life better locally is reflected in his unwavering support of many noble causes to include the construction of the Faces of Freedom Veterans Memorial in Atascadero.
Greg was proud of his family, our military veterans and his country.
During the course of my 42-year military career, I had the privilege to serve with and for many great men. Greg Hind was such a man.
I knew early on in our friendship that Greg exhibited those qualities of greatness found in very few men today. Greg Hind left us way too early, but his legacy will endure.
My alma mater from West Point concludes with, And when our work is done, Our course on earth is run, May it be said, Well Done Be Thou at Peace.
Rest in peace, my friend. You touched many lives and left this earth a far better place.
