A dispute between neighbors turned violent this morning in Cayucos.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lisa Ann Hope, 49, on suspicion of attempted murder after she fired a handgun at another woman in the 3200 block of South Ocean Boulevard, according to a news release from the county sheriff’s office.
Deputies responded to a report of shots fired about 7:05 a.m. There, they learned that a dispute between neighbors ended with Hope firing a handgun at the victim.
Hope, of Cayucos, remained in County Jail this evening in lieu of $500,000 bail.
The woman, who was not injured, was not identified because the investigation is ongoing, sheriff’s spokesman Tony Cipolla said.
