Five Cities used to be a way to refer to an area of the county where we all had enough in common to not bother with which town was which. Not so these days, with a rush to be the first to have influence on the space out at Price Canyon and old Oak Park. Are we to understand that a golf course and hotel and numerous homes will have access through Arroyo Grandes fringe?
Does anyone believe a developer will improve Arroyo Grande so that he can develop Pismo Beach? Not in a thousand years. The developer has property rights, but so do all of us out in old Oak Park who will have to endure the traffic coming down Vetter Lane.
Shame on the politics that puts the owner of many acres above the owner of 5 acres. There is no need for the homes, the hotel or the golf course. There is no desire to watch many cars an hour go up Vetter to arrive in Pismo. The plan is not adequate for all, so tell them where the drawing board is so they can go back and try again.
