I can appreciate the need for increasing taxes (Propositions 30 and 38). But please don’t tell me that the quarter-cent increase in sales tax is just for four years. Once taxes are enacted, they are never rescinded. If these propositions pass, hopefully the Legislature will use the funds as intended and get our state back in the black.
