Thank you, Sunny Acres/DeVaul Ranch!

I wanted to personally thank you for all the pumpkin donations you have made to our school, Santa Fe Bellevue Charter School, and the numerous other schools you’ve supplied with scores of pumpkins over the past few years. Without your generous donation, our kindergartners and first-graders would not have been able to participate in fun learning activities taught with the use of pumpkins and their seeds.

In these hard economic times, schools rely on the generosity of our community at large to help fill the gaps created by necessary budgetary restraints. I was particularly impressed by Sunny Acres because I was informed during our visit to solicit a donation that we were the sixth school your farm had supplied with pumpkins! Furthermore, the number of pumpkins donated had far exceeded those purchased from your roadside pumpkin patch this season.

I am fully aware of all the controversy surrounding your program in this city, in addition to the community’s wariness of visiting your vegetable and fruit stand. All I can say is that our family visits to your stand have proved to be nothing short of courteous, professional and fun.
