Look at a map, Mitt

San Luis ObispoOctober 26, 2012

When Mitt Romney accused President Obama of not attributing the August attack on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya, to terrorism, the president said “look at the transcript.” In Monday night’s debate, when Romney said that Syria was Iran’s route to the sea, the president should have said look at the map.

While Romney’s first mistake was a matter of political semantics, the latter suggests a lack of geopolitical understanding of the Middle East.
