Western Pavement Solutions will be micro-surfacing Tank Farm Road between Poinsettia Street and the eastern city limits, and on Broad Street between Tank Farm Road and El Capitan Way starting Thursday.
Micro-surfacing is an asphalt seal treatment that prolongs the life of the asphalt by stopping erosion from water and oxidation from the sun.
Work will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and possibly Saturday. Drivers will be limited to one lane of traffic, and left turns will be restricted. The city is encouraging drivers to use alternate routes.
The work is part of a larger project to widen the intersection of Tank Farm Road and Broad Street to add a left-turn lane onto Broad Street.
