Cal Poly women’s golf team in fourth place at San Jose tournament

The Cal Poly women’s golf team shot a 313 on Monday and is in fourth place headed into the final round of the Santa Clara Colby Invitational.

Cal Poly’s Kirsten Locke was tied for seventh after a first-round 74.

UC Riverside leads the tournament with a 301.

The Mustangs’ Morgan Thomas shot a 79 and was tied for 20th place.

Clariss Guce of Cal State Northridge was the individual leader after carding a 70.

The Mustangs are tied for 14th place after play was suspended because of darkness midway through the second round.

Cal Poly’s Grant Martens, propelled up the leaderboard with a 1 under after 15 holes in the second round, was tied for 14th. Camden Price was tied for 20th.
