Jerry Bunin, government affairs director for the Home Builders Association of the Central Coast, is retiring, effective Dec. 31.
Bunin, a former reporter for The Tribune, has worked for the association for 10 years, and has been a familiar face at governmental meetings as he seeks to further the objectives of the building industry.
Association President Shawn Reed praised Bunins work.
Jerry has managed to represent and further the interests of the building community in a meaningful way while maintaining good relations with policymakers, Reed said. We appreciate the job hes done and know we have a challenge ahead of us to find the right person to fill his shoes.
Bunin, 63, in turn lauded his employers and coworkers, whom he described as a great group of hard-working, dedicated volunteers who believe there is nothing more important than providing quality housing in solid neighborhoods.
The Home Builders Association is recruiting for the position of government affairs director. If interested, please email info@hbacc.org.
