Grover Beach chop shop busted by police Saturday

— Grover Beach police busted a chop shop operation Saturday evening, after responding to reports of a fight, according to a news release.

When police arrived at 1059 Baden Ave. around 6 p.m., several people walked away from the residence.

Police followed and questioned them and found one person with methamphetamine and another had an outstanding warrant. Randy Charles Wessman, 55, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession. And a 32-year-old man was arrested on a warrant.

Afterward, police returned to the house and discovered two stolen vehicles in the rear. Brian Scott Heiberger, 28, was arrested on suspicion of maintaining a chop shop and for vehicle theft, both felonies. 

Victor Nelson Wright, 50, was arrested for a felony probation violation.

All four remain in custody at County Jail.
