I am responding to a letter by LaDonna and Wes Randolph on Oct. 5. They state that the Muslim emotional response to the anti-Islam video demeaning their prophet “may be hard for the Western mind to comprehend.”

Oh really? Are Muslims mindless zombies who are incapable of controlling themselves from a murderous rampage? No religion has the right to murder innocent people because of perceived slights or insults. We live in the 21st century, not the 14th century.

Islam is not above other religions. It is time that Muslims realize the universe does not revolve around Islam and stop behaving like spoiled children having a murderous tantrum! Recently, in Dearborn, Mich., Muslims were demanding Islamic antiblasphemy laws. Is this the America we want? It is time that people speak out!
