Cuesta College women’s water polo team edges Santa Monica

Shanae Lauridsen and Temma Curry led the Cuesta College women’s water polo team with three goals apiece in an 8-7 victory over Santa Monica on Thursday.

The Cougars (10-14) took the lead in the first half, but Santa Monica tied it up in the third period scoring four goals to Cuesta’s two.

The Cougars had the final word however, scoring the only goal in the fourth period to win the game.

Michaela Billingsley and Haylie Fry each had one goal for the Cuesta, while goalkeeper Bianca Magno had 11 blocks.
