Motorists interested in alternative fuel vehicles can check out 20 different cars at this Thursdays Farmers Market in San Luis Obispo. Vehicles on display will include electric, propane, compressed natural gas, flex fuels, methanol and high mileage cars. The Green Car Show event is sponsored by the Central Coast Clean Cities Coalition (C5) as part of National Alternative Fuel Vehicle Odyssey Day.
The display will take place on Broad Street between Higuera and Monterey streets. Electricity for the event will be provided by solar panels courtesy of Pacific Energy Company.
A car show is the perfect way to for people to learn more about the alternative fuel vehicles available today, said Melissa Guise, Clean Cities coordinator. People can see that alternative fueled vehicles arent science fiction or garage hobby projects. With the recent spike in gasoline prices these alternative fuel vehicles can also save you money.
