Eagles top Tigers at PAC 7 midseason cross country meet

San Luis Obispo High’s Olivia Carmo won the PAC 7 midseason meet on the 3-mile Fairbanks Cross Country Course at Cuesta College in 19 minutes 31 seconds but Arroyo Grande edged San Luis Obispo for the team win.

The Eagles’ Jocelyn Reynolds was second in 19:40, as the Eagles beat Tigers 45-54. Atascadero was third with 69 points, Paso Robles had 81, St. Joseph had 101, Pioneer Valley had 179, and Righetti had an incomplete team.

Arroyo Grande’s Angela Gemignani finished in 19:46, followed by St. Joseph’s Beth Rigali (20:12), Paso Robles’ Ashley Davis (20:21), Arroyo Grande’s Leah Rife-Dupuy (20:24), and San Luis Obispo’s Micayla Rennick (20:40) to round out the top seven. Atascadero’s top finisher was Miriam Orozco in ninth place in 20:59.

Righetti won the boy’s race with  a team score of 40. Arroyo Grande was second with 52, Paso Robles had 60, San Luis Obispo had 90, Atascadero had 132, St. Joseph had 152, and Pioneer Valley had 181.

Trevor Cowan from Arroyo Grande was first in 16:16, followed by Righetti’s Alec DeLeon in 16:27, San Luis Obispo’s Josh Ernst in 16:33, and Righetti’s Ordanel Perez and Conor McNamara who finished in 16:36 and 16:37, respectively.

Jonathan Corley from Arroyo Grande was sixth in 16:38. Paso Robles had a pair of top ten finishers with Aidan Farrell in eighth in 16:43 and Matthew Kwiatkowski in 10th 16:48. Atascadero’s Daniel Reyes was ninth in 16:47.
