Letter to the Editor

Bravo, volunteers

Published: October 15, 2012

This was our third time to see the fascinating show “Stomp” at the Performing Arts Center.

As always, the show kept us on the edge of our seats, laughing and clapping our hands. I know it won’t be our last “Stomp.”

What I’m writing about is the kindness shown to us by the volunteers there. I am temporarily using a walker, and as we approached the front doors, we were greeted on the sidewalk by Ann Walsh, a volunteer who ushered us through another door where we wouldn’t have had to wait and straight to the elevators for easy access to our seats. Once in the elevator, we were greeted by Jeff Walsh, who was also friendly and very caring.

We commented on having the luck of Mr. and Mrs. Walsh looking after us. Everyone last night showed us so much care and kindness, and everyone made sure we were safe and well taken care of. If there were more Ann Walshes in this world, it would certainly be a more peaceful life.

Thank you to the Performing Arts Center for having such kind and caring volunteers. They do make a big difference.
