I just received the first slick “No on Proposition 37” mail from the elusively named “Coalition Against the Deceptive Food Labeling Scheme.” The fine print reveals its big-money sponsors: Monsanto (the world’s largest producer of GMO products), DuPont, Bayer, Cargill, ConAgra, General Mills, Kraft, Pepsi, etc.

Full of misinformation, it makes no mention of the meteoric rise of allergy and digestive problems related to the bacteria killer in wheat (the naturally produced bacteria we need in our digestive tract) and the immune system-depressing insecticide in corn.

We need to know what we put into our bodies. Vote yes on Proposition 37.
