Mission Prep football teams moves to 7-0

Mission Prep's football team came out with a bang, with Michael Cardwell rushing for three touchdowns in the first quarter, including a 47-yarder, to lead the Royals to a 50-12 win Friday night at Grace Brethren.

Cardwell finished with 12 carries for 164 yards.

Royals quarterback Tyler Baty was 11 for 18 for 219 yards and three touchdowns, Joey Hall had five catches for 114 yards and a touchdown, and Patrick Laird had eight carries for 111 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Mission Prep (7-0) led 22-0 after the first quarter and 29-0 at the half.
