Cambria — The Coast Union varsity volleyball team hosts an alumni game at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, in the school gymnasium.
According to varsity head coach Pam Kenyon, at 5:30 the Lady Broncos’ JV team will take on their parents. Immediately after that game, at 6:30, the current varsity team will play an alumni team, with former CUHS players coming from as far away as Hawaii and San Diego.
“It will be a lot of fun and we hope the community will come out and support our program,” Kenyon said.
Meanwhile, the Lady Broncos are 6-1 in the Coast Valley League. They were shut out 3-0 by Coastal Christian on Oct. 4, but Coast Union defeated Shandon (25-10, 25-9, 25-16) Tuesday, Oct. 9. Sage Radecki had 25 assists and Karla Soto had 4 kills and six aces.
