A benefit chicken barbecue for Joselin Avilez begins at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Boni’s Tacos food truck on Main Street at Burton Drive in Cambria.

Bonifacio and Lupita Viveros and their family, who own Boni’s, are sponsoring and preparing the meals, $12 each. All proceeds go to benefit Avilez and her family.

Avilez, 25, a wife and mother of four, is in the late stages of brain cancer. She grew up in Cambria and attended Coast Union High School.
