Enchilada sale

From next Monday through Nov. 10, San Miguel Seniors will take orders for their annual enchilada sale — choice of beef, chicken or cheese. One dozen is $35, a half dozen is $17.50 or they are $3 each. To order, call 467-3266 after 3 p.m. or call 674-2968. Enchiladas will be ready for pick-up or delivery Nov. 17. Proceeds go to maintenance and repair of the Senior Center.

Chamber meeting

The San Miguel Chamber of Commerce recently received its official charter from the State of California. Congratulations to all. The first annual meeting and open house will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at RiverStar Winery, 7450 Estrella Road (at the end of Airport Road). The public is welcome.

A speaker from the county Health Department will discuss the food survey taken in April. A report will be given on the progress of chamber activities.

Nominations will be taken to fill two vacant seats on the Board of Directors.

Election forum

The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring two election forums to be held at the Lillian Larsen School gymnasium.

Candidates for three seats on the San Miguel Community Services District board will speak Oct. 18.

Candidates for two seats on the San Miguel Joint Union School District will speak Oct. 25. Both forums will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. For information, call 975-6996.
