All four candidates for three seats on the Coast Unified School District Board of Trustees are expected to attend a candidates’ forum Tuesday, Oct. 16.
University Women of Cambria is sponsoring the forum, with The League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County moderating. It’s set to begin at 7:30 p.m. in the district boardroom in the Old Grammar School at 1350 Main St., Cambria.
Written questions from the audience will be given to a moderator, who will query the candidates. Each candidate will be given time for brief opening and closing statements.
The four candidates are incumbent Cindy Fratto, mathematics education consultant Judith Hillen, retired schoolteacher Jack Mettier and teacher, artist and guide Sue Nash.
University Women of Cambria is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to broaden intellectual horizons, promote community endeavors with emphasis on education and encourage fellowship among members.
The League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy. It does not support or oppose any political party or any candidate.
