Cuesta women's water polo team falls to L.A. Valley

The Cuesta College women’s water polo team fell behind 7-0 after the first quarter and couldn’t recover in a 19-10 loss at Los Angeles Valley on Wednesday.

Bailey Kelley scored a career-high five goals for the Cougars (7-12, 0-2 Western State Conference).

Shanae Lauridsen had three goals, and Courtney Yoder and Hailey Fry each had one goal for Cuesta.

Bianca Magno had three saves in goal for the Cougars, who return to action Friday in a tournament in Modesto.
