Cuesta seminar on business of music

An upcoming seminar at Cuesta College will help budding musicians learn the business side of music.

The Business & Entrepreneurship Center will present a “Musicians as Entrepreneurs” seminar from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cuesta’s North County campus in Paso Robles.

The seminar will cover the legal and financial issues affecting songwriting, recording, touring, and how to market performers and music. Presenters will be Don Gorder, chairman of the music business/
management department at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and recent Berklee College graduate Drew Chandler.

The cost is $20 for the public and free for Cuesta College students, faculty and staff. Preregistration required by going online at http://musicbizz.eventbrite.com or calling 546-3188.
