ORIGINAL: A vehicle is on fire approximately one mile north of Ragged Point on Highway 1, according to emergency dispatches.

The vehicle is fully involved, and has set fire to vegetation. Details on the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page website say the vehicle may be blocking the entire road.

There may be small arms inside the vehicle because a dispatch said that bullets were exploding as the car burned.

This story will be updated if further information can be gathered; CHP officers in the field cannot always be reached on weekends.
