Eagles finish with 628 yards of offense in 54-7 road rout

Templeton High rolled to a 54-7 Los Padres League football win at Santa Maria on Friday night.

The Eagles (5-1, 2-0 LPL) piled up 628 yards of offense in the big win.

Quarterback Alex Elterman was 10-for-16 passing for 282 yards and four touchdowns to pace the Eagles. Scott Lawson had six carries for 95 yards and a 50-yard, third-quarter touchdown, as the Eagles ran for 336 yards. Jackson Wheeler had four catches for 125 yards and a touchdown.

Templeton had seven players score its eight touchdowns. Tyler Murphy, with two receiving touchdowns, was the only Eagle with multiple scores.
