AG resident arrested on suspicion of drug possession

Members of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested several South County residents this week after they served a search warrant at an Arroyo Grande home and found methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and materials commonly used for the sale of narcotics, according to sheriff’s officials.

The search warrant was served about 4 p.m. Wednesday at a house in the 800 block of Olive Street. Investigators arrested three people there, including Brian Eric Johnson, 49, on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale, a felony, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Johnson remained in San Luis Obispo County Jail this afternoon.

In addition, a women was arrested on two misdemeanors: suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia.

A third man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant. He is being investigated for possession of heroin but was not arrested, sheriff’s spokesman Tony Cipolla said.
